Wreath Out – with Birthday Cheer!

I’m so eavesdropping on the crafty moms in our MOMs Club… So, a special nod goes out to Hilary for this one *waving hi!*

Balloon Birthday Wreath
by Hilary

Inspired by these amazing women, I’m digging through the party supply closet to see what’s on hand.

We have a bunch of balloons left over from my youngest’s birthday in October. To go along with that, our puppy found the pretty blue curling ribbon roll, and summarily destroyed it. I now have a mass of blue curling ribbon that I can’t bear to throw away. Looks like the puppy had a field day. Or a one puppy party. What a great idea for how to repurpose them! This project is so simple, so adorable, and so affordable! for any mom/dad/aunt/grandmother/etc.! with a glue gun, some balloons, and a frame! (See our Valentine Quickie project if you don’t feel like BUYING a frame…)

So, again, the items you’ll need —

  • Glue Gun
  • Balloons
  • Curling Ribbon
  • Wire frame
  • Preferably a room full of friends, equally armed, with wine!

Looks like my favorite crafty mama found a pretty door hanger, and bright ribbon to match. Well done, ladies! Off to go make one for myself!

Rachel’s birthday keeps getting closer… and we’re preparing!

Another great idea would be to glue gun the same around a picture frame, and decorate the mantle with the birthday-celebrant’s FAVORITE things… hmmm… will get back to you on that one.
